French

At Great Harwood Primary School the current MFL that we teach is French, however we strive to provide children with opportunities to experience a range of other languages. Our intent is to provide all of our children in Key Stage 2 with a high-quality education in French which nurtures a love of learning about other languages and cultures. It is our intention that, by the end of our children’s primary education, they will have developed an understanding of both spoken and written French; be confident to ask and answer questions and to know how important other languages can be in their future.
