 Mr Woodruff & Mrs Sabik

Key Staff

Mr Woodruff is the main class teacher and Deputy Headteacher. Mrs Sabik our Learning Support Assistant supports the class in the mornings during maths, English and Guided Reading and her and will also teach two afternoons a week in Year 5. We are lucky to have so much expertise within our class supporting our children.

Swimming and P.E.

In Year 5 the children will take part in swimming lessons every Friday in the Autumn Term at Accrington Academy where they will receive a 45 minutes session with 2 qualified swimming teachers. In the Spring and Summer Terms PE will take place every Friday Afternoon

Curriculum

In English we are currently reading 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' and this will link to our writing which will include writing non-chronological reports and several narratives.

In Maths we follow the White Roses Maths scheme and this term there will be a focus on multiplication and division.

In Science we will be looking at Life Cycles of Animals and their Habitats.
